When I go into licenses, click use license and then okay it I keep getting a message saying, We’re sorry but we could not apply this license to your device. Trying to enter the code manually hasn’t yielded any results either. I keep getting a message saying this code is not registered.I thought perhaps it was a system error and gave it a day to clear up but so far no results.
What license are you trying to apply ?
If it is for Avast Pro/IS/Premier, have you linked/registered that device/installation to your my.avast.com account ?
Have you got a license that has sufficient PCs (multi PC license) for the numbers you have installed ?
If so - You could try using the Resend avast License https://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.
Save the license file to your system and double click that license file and it should be inserted by avast.
Make sure you have the correct license for the installed avast application and for the correct platform.
e.g. a license for a Windows application will not work on a MAC and the other way around.
That made me worry I had purchased the wrong license but that doesn’t seem to be the case. i bought Avast Internet Security IS 1 PC 3 Years. I’m trying to install on a PC running windows ten so i believe I have the right license.
Thanks for the response. Yes I have avast internet security installed and that’s the license I purchased. It’s the only PC i bought avast for and the only one its on as well. Unfortunately even after having the avast license resent it’s still not working. Oddly whenever I go into my account and try the activation code button on the license page it says that feature isn’t available at the moment. It’s getting rather frustrating.
It may be time to try tickling customer service’s ear again though last time I couldn’t get through after a ten minute wait.
