I’ve just bought a HP iPAQ Pocket PC, download and sync the avast for Pocket PC.
It installs but I can’t add my registration key as the keyboard is not shown and avast screen take all of the space, without allowing to click in the keyboard picture.
Besides, I can’t write on the screen directly…
What stupidity am I doing? :
Bump 2
pk, where are you? ???
pk has been working in the background.
Problem solved, user can add the registration number.
I’ve the same problem: can you help me?
Well… pk can…
Which is your PDA model?
Hi,

thanks for attention
Davide
The ‘strictly correct’ installation procedure for avast! PDA Edition (Windows based PDAs) is:
1.) synchronize your PDA with your desktop PC using MS ActiveSync
2.) run the avast! installer in your PC to install avast! antivirus to your PDA
3.) reboot (soft-reset) the PDA to initialize avast! antivirus
4.) insert the license key
5.) reboot (soft-reset) the PDA to apply the changes
If the first PDA reboot (3.) is not completed, you can get these problems:
- the keyboard icon is missing in avast! antivirus window
- the commercial license is reported like time-limited demo license
If the second PDA reboot (5.) is not completed, you can get this problem: - the commercial license is reported like time-limited demo license
Hi
I’ve tried to do like you suggest but, unfortunately, I can’t insert the registration string by my pc, becouse the avast program isn’t in the sincronize menù.
I can write the string but I can’t say OK in the pda windows so avast don’t start because the license key is espired and restart with trial license
and then I can’t reset the pda by software, only by hardware
Can I insert the registration code by another way?
Davide
if I give you my details, can you give me the exe file with my registration code already installed?
I’m going to fix the problem within some hours. I’ll send you new version tomorrow.
I’m just installed the avast4 wince phone2003 edition and now all seems ok,
This version has accept my code number, scanning files and update definitions
thank you, for help and interest
