Hi,
When I run the scan (Avast Free) I’m getting a message at the end that tells me 6 files can’t be scanned. When it says "Select the required action for each result and click ‘Apply’‘’ I have tried to click on “Apply” but nothing happens. Anybody know what’s wrong here?
Hi reoc,
What is the setting at the bottom right of the window?
It is not necessary to move to the chest/delte etc. as they are files that cannot be scanned:

@ reoc
If you can give us some common examples of those file names, the locations and reason why they can’t be scanned and we will see if we can’t put your mind further at rest ?
Hi,
An example is today when I used the “Removable media scan.” (I had my newly formatted external drive plugged in) After it finished it read “Scan complete. SOME FILES COULD NOT BE SCANNED.” When I clicked “SHOW RESULTS” it showed that the file name was “*BOOTE:” and the Status read “Error: The parameter is incorrect (87)”. At the bottom of the screen, where it says “Apply this action for all:” I can switch between all the options. However, I cannot press the “Apply” button. The only button I can press is “Close”.
well there’s nothing to apply ;D
I have a similar issue to reoc’s, except in my case Avast! actually flags two instances of virus found amounts the six items it lists.
I cannot highlight the items, and I therefore cannot action them.
