When avast finds a virus (this has happened four times so far) I follow the steps to delete or store it in the chest. in each case I get a window that asks for a file called “pollr1.exe” and directs me to browse my temp drive for it.
I do not have this file, apparently. I am forced to canel the process. Am I not completing the delete or am I missing a file I should have?
And, finally, where do I get this file? Was my download of the program incomplete?
Looks like your registry is changed. Make sure there is no malware on your system. Click on thelink in my signature and follow the instructions in the malware removal section.

OK. I downloaded Ad-Aware and am installing it. I alreadyhave and use Spy-bot and Avast, and I have both Firefox and IE on my system. Firefox will now become the primary browser.
Great advice, so far.
