can't connect to LAN Temperature WEB Monitor

Hello,
i am using avast for the last 3 years and never had an issue before .
Now i purchased a LAN Temperature WEB Monitor that connects to my lan through Ethernet cable.
I can see the web page of this temperature monitor (KMTronic) only if i deactivate both the web shield and real site shield.
If i enable the web shield i can only see the page for 5 sec and then i get an error “Connection to LAN DS18B20 Temperature Monitor was lost.”. Then i have to reload again and see the page for another 5 sec.
I have tried :
–uninstall - reinstall (latest build 17.3.3443.0)
–add the url (http://192.168.1.88) to exclusions (general and web shield).
–disable automatic port scan detection.

This also happens when i connect from home through no-ip. If i deactivate the shields on home pc i can see the page.
win 10 on both pc’s
What more detalis should i provide?

how can i resolve this issue?

the ebay item link is http://www.ebay.com/itm/271954224039?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

thanks in advance

Are you running Avast Internet Security?

You can enable port scan detection now since that bug has been fixed.

Regarding your issue, if you disable the Web Shield and keep all other shields including the Firewall enabled, can you access the monitor?

i am running avast free antivirus on home and work pc
i have enabled port scan detection
i am now on home pc in which i have web shield component but no real site component
deactivating web shield i can access the monitor.
i don’t have firewall.
on work pc if i disable the webshield makes little difference on accessing the monitor. i can access it only by disabling the real site shield.
The monitor sends data every 5 sec. first disable the real site shield to access the monitor once but i also must disable the web shield because after 5 sec the connection is lost.

I have the same problem accessing some LAN based web UI’s. In my case it’s my opensprinkler UI. Adding exceptions to the webshield component doesn’t seem to get honoured. Avast don’t seem to be acknowledging this bug.

You could try the latest beta: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15

Hello,
still same problem after updating to beta

Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB33#artTitle

Could you add this line to the Web Shield exclusions and see if it works:

https://192.168.1.88;https://192.168.1.88*;https://192.168.1.88/*

Copy the above text into one line exactly as it’s written.

This is what they emailed me :

“”"We’re sorry, but we can’t seem to find a record of your license in our system.

If you use Avast Free Antivirus, please visit the FAQ section of our website or the Avast community forum.“”“”

So i guess the avast support tool is only for paying customers.

thanks anyway.

I have done it with https and with http. No change.

thank you.

Anything in one of the log files that gives a clue on what it can be ?

New message
““This is just a friendly confirmation that we have received your support request and one of our dedicated team members will get back to you as soon as possible.””

So i guess the avast support tool is NOT only for paying customers.

Thank you.

You’re welcome. (Certainly not helpful for reporting possible bugs.

Edit: Just saw your Reply #11, sounds good.

Did you copy it all into one line?

The joy was short.
with the last email they closed the ticket and respond:
""Hello,

We’re sorry, but we can’t seem to find a record of your license in our system.

If you use Avast Free Antivirus, please visit the FAQ section of our website or the Avast community forum.“”

thank anyway
