Can't Connect to non-https sites

Hi,

I can’t connect to non-https sites with either IE or Firefox. I tried disabling/enabling WinXP’s firewall with no change in behavior. The only way to surf freely is to shut down Avast’s Webshield.

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

The XP firewall has zero outbound protection, so shouldn’t be blocking the most common cause.

What other security based software do you have installed ?
