Fatal Flaw: Ur service pack is outdated!(Win Xp Service Pack 2)

U must download the latest service pack of Win XP, which is Service Pack 3, to improve ur system defenses…It includes many security updates that covers the flaws of SP2…

Another thing…Download, Install and Update Malwarebytes Anti Malware^^(www.malwarebytes.org)^^

-AnimeLover^^

You have to ensure that you deal with any infection before updating to SP3 or that could compromise the installation.

I would also suggest a visit to this site, which scans your system for out of date programs that have patches to close vulnerabilities, http://secunia.com/software_inspector/ as your JAVA version is also ancient making it vulnerable to attack. IE6 when you update to XP SP3 will also update that to IE6 SP3, though IE7 is available as I IE8 (though I have kept away from both).

So far, nothing critical except for:

(1) Service Pack 2
You should upgrade to SP3

(2) Firewall
Your windows xp firewall does not support outbound protection. Consider enhancing your protection by installing a firewall with outbound protection like PCTools, Agnitum Outpost, Online Armor, Zone Alarm.

Hi dogboy,

  • “Block TCP and UDP port 445 and 139 as well as affected ports greater than 1024 by using IPsec on the affected systems” without a fw you can do this by running and toggling WWDC, download from here: http://www.firewallleaktester.com/wwdc.htm
Instructions and a screenshot of the Windows Worms Door Cleaner: http://www.firewallleaktester.com/wwdc.htm
“The problem is due to the Automatic Update Service which uses the Generic Host Service which runs a svchost.exe process. If you switch off the Automatic Update Service the problem with svchost.exe using 100% of the CPU cycles stops. Once you have done all of the updates you can switch the Automatic Updates Service back on.”
Your system seems clean, but you haven’t an active software firewall running, and haven’t upgraded to XP SP3,
Just another issue -Remember that Hijackthis must be run in an own folder. Only if Hijackthis run in an own folder it will create backups! Tool, with which you have produced this logfile. The program should have this path ! C:\Programs\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

Thanks for visiting us, and everything will be OK,
