Are you trying to open the file or saving it into disk…
I’ll try myself… wait… no troubles here ::slight_smile:
Are you downloading this link? http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/vpsupd.exe

Edit… Oopss… the same here… strange ::slight_smile: ???

Strange. No changes were made to the servers or the download process recently.

I’ve tried to download the file twice, once with Mozilla, once with outdated GetRight, no problems.

Is the problem repeatable?
Does it occur with different kinds of download managers?

Trying again…

well… it’s my FDM fault then :frowning:

or maybe my net connexion :-X

or may may may maybe… it’s… :-\

okay, it’s not a problem anymore, my auto update still working and i will copy the newest file from avast directory to my offline computer… :smiley:

:o can it be done? :-[ is it legal?

;D peace ;D

If you mean the vpsupd.exe file, no problems, you can and it’s legal (if the other computer is home and for non-commercial use).
If you mean the files ‘installed’ into the setup subdirectory of the avast installation folder, well, it won’t work and it’s not legal :slight_smile:

wowowo… sorry 4 my english… i’ll try 2 make it straight…

i hv 2 comps

1 online and 1 offline

automatic update run very well, but my offline comp can’t do that [ofcourse, it is offline ;D] soo i tried to download the manual update… but i encounter a problem…

so this is what i’ll do, i search the lastest modified files from my online computer and then copy them to my offline computer.
FYI most of the have .vps and .vpu extentions and located in \DATA and \Setup

sooo… it is legal?

Please, try again… it worked for me yesterday.
Are you using a download manager?

The other method will only mess your avast off-line installation…
