Can't enable Web Shield after Avast 2015 Update.

Can’t enable the web shield through the program “resolve all” button or taskbar icon “Avast shield control” Don’t want to reinstall as I think this can be fixed easily, just not sure where to start.

Started after I did an upgrade of some kind, I am guessing for the 2015 version which required a computer restart.

Try a repair and reboot via the Uninstall Feature but if that fails then a clean install of Avast is the only option.

Personally I prefer clean installs when upgrading to a different “major” versions, many components change internally and I find it’s much more reliable and trouble free.
