Avast! has discovered a “Threat:WMA:Wimad [Drp]” but I can’t delete it because I get "Error: The system cannot find the file specified (2). Can anyone help me with this?

I recommend to download Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) and perform a full scam.
Post the results when the scan is finished.
What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
Have you actually checked the avast chest to see if it was successfully moved there ?
Deletion isn’t really a good first option (you have none left), ‘first do no harm’ don’t delete, send virus to the chest (a protected area) and investigate.
I tried malwarebytes. It found some other things and got rid of them. Seems good. But it didn’t get rid of the one I was after.
I did end up deleting the folder in the end. And it’s gone, gone, gone. My daughter was using Limewire, and that’s where it was at. The file wasn’t to be found where AVAST said it should be, and AVAST couldn’t find it either. Just so I’ll know in the future, why are you saying that deletion isn’t a good option. It doesn’t matter if you don’t mind losing the files,right? Or am I missing something I should know? Thanks.
If you delete the file, and it turns out that the original detection was a false positive, you wouln’t be able to retrieve the file.
Once it’s in the chest, it’s fully isolated and no longer a danger to your system.
It’s easy once you’ve made sure that putting the file into the virus chest has no adverse effect on your system, to go back at some reasonable time and delete it.
Better safe than sorry.
