I seem to be having a problem getting avast 4.7.1001 installed on my vista computer. In terms of other security I’m using spyware doctor and windows defender.
I keep getting “there was an error”

You can use Gadwin PrintScreen to get a screenshot (http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/) or the free version of WinSnap 1.1.10 (http://www.filehippo.com/download_winsnap/?2173).
Also, it will be good to know if there is more in the error message…
If you disable Spyware Doctor to install avast, will it work?
disabling spyware doctor works. With it disabled I can install Avast. Thanks.
Probably it was blocking any necessary action of the setup…
Please, continue to monitor your system to know if avast is not wrongly disabled by Spyware Doctor in the future…
