My Free version of Avast has just quit running and won’t update or turn on. I also cannot unistall it. It worked fine until today. I have Windows 7 and my firewall is not blocking it.
Did you follow the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in the other topic you posted in (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=96963.msg774352#msg774352) ?
If so please give more details on what you did and an error messages you encountered.
