Dear Avast crew ,
I hope I have this in the right forum .
I’m no computer expert so if this post sounds a bit simplistic please bear with me .
I can’t tell if the subject has yet been covered in previous threads , I apologise if I missed it.
After the newest update was installed on Saturday morning ( June 30th 2012) I was no longer able to get into my notes/e-mail inbox. I finally got hold of my ISP on Monday and they coincidentally asked if there had been any new hardware additions , or something like that.
I told them that I had an anti-virus update on the day it happened .
They told me how to disable the anti-virus hardware and refresh the screen.
POW ! Back in business again. Except I had to re-enable the anti-virus hardware .
Now , everytime I want to recieve or send e-mails I have to disable the shields.
My web/internet capabilities have not been affected.
Will this problem eventually go away ?
