“Access denied”? ??? Strange, I’d say…
Does it happen only with Internet Mail provider, or also with all the other resident providers?
I know what my problem is now
For some reason I have 2 Internet mail
One says no task currently using this provider Start is in bold and there is nothing on bottom about scanning
The other says provider is waiting for subsystem to start
Terminate is in bold On bottom said task name resident protection and a run time. This is the one where customize is in bold and when I click on it says access denied
I had this on another post and some suggested I go to control panel and to add and remove and repair. I am a little afraid to do that If I click on change is that when the repair comes up. The only time I have ever used it is to remove
I can get into the customize on the other providers that are
running

Yes, Repair is accessible from the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs / avast! Antivirus / Change/Remove. A dialog, labeled “avast! Antivirus Setup”, appears where you can choose an action - Change, Uninstall, Update, or Repair.
