I am pretty much stumped with this pesky malware. I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit. I noticed that I heard some sort of audio ad in the background. Then I notice in my audio mixer, I had multiple audio sources all with the name Miranda Client. I then went to task manager and found the source was some file in my C:\users\(name)\appdata\roaming\ folder. It had a strange name. So I reboot into safe mode, delete the culprit and reboot in normal mode. Then I notice that some hidden program is constantly creating a randomly named folder and file with two different dropper malware programs. So I run all sorts of scans using rkill, malwarebytes anti malware and various other programs that search for rootkits. Rkill stops kills the program only to have it replaced over and over. Now I have multiple randomly named folders with randomly named programs running Miranda Client and playing ads in the background. I then also god popups trying to download some java script program and run it. This malware has me stumped. I did some full scans and found some malware and removed it. However this thing just keeps coming back. It's starting to remind me of a bad horror movie. Does anyone know what this malware could be and how to get rid of it?
