Can't install/reinstall

Sorry if this has been stated before but the general search I had for this didn’t work to show anything of relevance to my situation.

anyhow, as of a few days ago my avast decided to stop working. No it didn’t expire. it just says
c:\programs\alwil software\avast5\avastUI.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.

I have a few times and it has NOT fixed the problem. And I’ve never for years now had a problem with avast.

Nope, didn’t work. I’m just going to stop trying to use avast. Thanks for trying though.

Before you uninstall, you could try this build…
