Can't Login to Dell ProConnect 2716 Web Interface

When trying to login to the web interface on my ProConnect 2716 switch, I get a message saying “user name or password missing”, but this is not true. I tried disabling the Web Shield and I was able to login fine. Has anyone seen this behaviour before?

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • What avast! version number?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system? Did you have in the past?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?
