can't move to chest

:-[
I’m fairly new to avast! Home, I don’t even know which version I have, unless this is it VPS version 0535-0.

Please help me if you can. The warning "Adware Was Found! " came up and I clicked on move to chest as usual. When I did a box came up saying “the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process”. This meant the warning wouldn’t go away. The file that can’t be processed is C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsA.exe

Can anyone tell me what’s going on and what I have to do to get back to normal?

Last time it happened I clicked on “no action” by mistake, the window closed but could I have activated a virus by doing this, and how can I find out? Also, everything I do seems to be slower now, could a virus do this?

The warning is up now and I can’t get rid of it!!!

Eternal gratitude to anyone who can help solve this.

Did you try to do a boot scan? If not try it!

When Windows uses some file this file can’t be moved\deleted. Thats why you should try the boot scan.
The boot scan checks for viruses before Windows start, so the file won’t be loaded by Windows and it will be possible to move\delete the file.

P.S. > The boot scan is available only in Win NT,2000 and XP!
