i have just had the same problem with mine and my friends account both our facebook messages are not working. both give the same trojan report and it happens on both browsers chrome and IE. i have cleaned both caches and all browsing data i have run full system scans uisng Avast Pro and found nothing. this must be a false positive created by you guys as when we use my friends account with an alternative Antivirus suite (that is also updated) we dont get this report and everything works fine. please resolve this quickly as i dont have the use off a second Pc as does my friend and i am not able to get messages from my business page on facebook. very frustrating.

I have been having the same problem all day.
Hi Avast, i’ve updated my Virus definitions, problem remains
Facebook fixed it! All resolved. Thank you AVAST for catching this and preventing a problem on my laptop.
Facebook didn’t fix anything, it was an avast false positive detection which was rectified in the last VPS updates 
What VPS version do you have? Latest is 130605-1.

Got the same problem. Do you use youtube-unblocker? After removing the addon the problem has been gone!
Your issue appears to be something else as this thread is related to an avast false positive which was corrected with the 130605-1 VPS update.
So maybe it was just coincidence but it worked!
