It isn’t weird, something is trying to block access to the site and has modified the hosts file to redirect you somewhere else. That is the purpose of the hosts file, but it is usually used to avoid malicious sites and not as has been done here, malware modifying the hosts file to stop access to AV sites.

Whilst this may be more targeted as it usually targets many different AV sites and may be able to detect what AV you have installed and block that.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode, SUPERantispyware

Download and run HJT and post the contents of the log file (cut and paste) into this topic, you may need to split it over two or more posts depending on how large it is.
