Can't Reactivate: Online Content Unavailable

Hi,

I installed a fresh copy of Avast (17.8.2318) on my PC (Win7 Pro SP1) 1 month ago and the trial licence has now expired - however, when I click the big green ‘Reactivate’ button on the main page, or the ‘Renew Now’ button on the subscription page, I get ‘Online Content is unavailable - check your internet connection and try again’. But my internet connection is working fine and I’m even able to manually download virus definitions via the Avast Update tab. This has been going on for 3 days now - so doesn’t seem like a temporary Avast server glitch.

I see a number of other posts with the same problem over the last few years - but there doesn’t seem to be a definitive solution. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks. I’m not really seeing any solutions to my problem there so I guess I’m going to have to uninstall and reinstall…
