I recently loaded avast a/v on win xp. when trying to read mail on yahoo, program takes forever to open mail folder. What can I do to speed this up. The mailbox never opens, have waited 10 mins waiting for mail box to open; it does not open.
Are you sure it’s a problem of avast?
I’m not… Here, Yahoo is taking more and more time to get ready and open and it’s not avast.
Disabling avast did not help me…

I also have no problems with yahoo mail.
Thisnk the problem is related to your yahoo not to avast.
Are you using a Firewall?
