Can't Register (online OR offline!)

I tried to renew my registration through the Avast UI, but get the familiar “The online content is unavailable” message. So I register online through Chrome and had the license key emailed to me, but the instructions (for Avast 2016) don’t actually work with Avast 17.4.2294 (build 17.4.3482.0). The problem? There is no “Offline Registration” option anymore!!

How on earth am I supposed to register this product when there is no option to register?!?!

It’s bad enough that Windows 10 blocks the notifications/auto updates from Avast, but now this? I’m just about ready to part ways with Avast.

Edit: yes, I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled Avast Free Antivirus and rebooted the computer. No change to the UI.

Appreciate the response, but I’m posting here AFTER spending significant quality time with the Support/FAQ pages… Avast walkthrus are for Avast 2016, NOT Avast 2017. Suggestions?

The free version should register automatically.

And there is a know issue with te registration option within the UI and avast is already working on it.

Although not registered, the protection should still work.
