I should not have to jump through loops to REMOVE an auto-renewal, but hey it sure is easy to set it up. Anyways, after finding out how to even manage my subscriptions, I’ve reached a point where I can’t login to actually cancel the damn thing. Apparently my email isn’t valid, however, I can request for them to send me a password, I put in my order number and it sends me a password to the email that is apparently not valid! Canceling a product should not require this much hassle, but hey, what should I expect when I need to find a guide online just to remove the software from my computer in the first place.

what should I expect when I need to find a guide online just to remove the software from my computer in the first place. That is your lack of basic knowledge about computers.
For some reason, now when using the Order id + password it brought me automatically to the page and was successfully able to to disable it.
As for your comment on my lack of intelligence, google “How to remove Avast” First thing from Avast’s website is that I may need to download another program to uninstall Avast in the first place. Yeah, I can see how THAT would be MY fault.
“Uninstall our software using avastclear. Sometimes it’s not possible to uninstall Avast the standard way - using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in control panel. In this case, you can use our uninstallation utility avastclear. If you installed Avast in a different folder than the default, browse for it.”
And perhaps Avast’s services could be improved if one didn’t need to search the forums just to find out how to disable a service they provide. Oh, and thank you for linking back to the exact same page I was at earlier, I really only managed to succeed this time through sheer luck.
As for your comment on my lack of intelligence..I never said it was lack of intelligence. I said it is a lack of knowledge and that is true. If you had the basic knowledge about computers (hardware/software) you would have known how to remove avast (or for that matter any other software) manually and you wouldn't have to google for it.
aswclear (as well as many other uninstall tools) does not remove the software completely.
