Well, I got a warning by avast that I have a virus and it can’t be deleted in the normal way and I must do a boot scan. I had some stuff to do then and now when I click sched.exe it doesn’t open, it just loads for a sec and then nothing happens.
I’m going to run a format but it would be better with out it. So, anyone know what I can do ?
PS. Love the spell check button even though firefox has it’s own.
Well to schedule a boot time scan I usualy do it the long way, ie open avast, click on the top right corner for the menu ans select the Schedule Boot-time scan (somewhere at the middle of the list). I get a pop up with some options… click ok and get a second pop up asking if I wish to restart or not.
In vista you have to run avast as an administrator if you are in a standard account, in order to schedule a boot time scan.
