Can't Run Firefox Sandboxed

In Windows XP, I accidentally tried to update Firefox while it was running in the sandbox (which I know doesn’t work) and now whenever I try to run Firefox sandboxed it comes up with the message: “Couldn’t load XPCOM” and doesn’t open. I have tried reinstalling Firefox but it still doesn’t work.

Try this:

  • Open avast
  • Click on tools
  • Click on Sandbox
  • Click on settings
  • Choose web browsers
  • Delete contents

You may have to reboot after that. I got a feeling the problem you have is with a saved file/setting and this mehod could solve it.
