Can't Scan Files

I ran a full scan earlier and when it finished it said certain files can’t be scanned. There were two files C:\Users\AppData\Nvidia\Roaming, followed by a ton of letters and numbers, one ends in .bin and the other .toc (sorry im at work and unable to remember the entire pathway). I am concerned because each scan I did shows up can’t scan files, so I did a boot time scan and it found an infected file. Is avast scan missing this because of the files not able to be scanned? Is this something to worry about?
I went into settings and excluded both pathways from the scan, then ran another scan but it still showed up “can’t scan certain files”.

Files that cannot be scanned aren’t infected by themselves.
Well… Do not exclude paths from scanning if you’re not absolutely sure about it… You can be loosing protection.

So is there any suggestion to fix this besides re-installing windows. I have everything backed up, just don’t want to spend all that time re-installing and updating everything.

files that can not be scanned is normal

files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected
avast is just telling you it could not scan them and the reason why…and there are many reasons, the most common are password protected or the file is in use

Ok, well thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.
