Can't see Avast up - dates

Yesterday i had re-registered with Avast free home edition, and i have noticed that the blue up-date notification that usually pops up on the right hand side has not been up-dating automatacally.

Is this normal, not sure if i have done something.

right click on tray icon, select about. click on vps file> it should show 090801-0 then its fine also avast version 4.8.1335 see picture.

Yes it shows 090801-0 so it must be fine, but why hasn’t the blue notification been poping up?

first you make sure it is enabled.
right click avast tray icon > program settings > update (basic) > details > in the update options area, the fourth option must be checked. that is show sliding box after automatic update.
