Can't send or receive emails without closing eMclient and restarting

Can’t send or receive emails without either closing eMclient and restarting or by turning off AVAST for 10 minutes and closing eMclient and restarting. Looking for a setting in AVAST that will allow eMclient to send and receive without interruption. Appreciate all assistance. Steve

  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Do you have avast with firewall?

If so is your network profile in puplic or private mode? what happen if you change?

Free - ver 18.8.2356 (been using Free Avast for several years - Windows 10 Home Version 1803 (build 17134) (x64) - also have System Mechanic and Malwarebytes. Right now network profile is private. Firewall is Windows Defender

Asyn, this looks like I would make exceptions in both AVAST and Malwarebytes. Do you think that would correct the problem I am having? Seems odd that everything was working ok for months then it started with Thunderbird. I migrated to eMclient a month ago and it worked ok for 3 weeks then started again. Thoughts anyone?
