Hi. I need to stop on-access protection in Avast, but when I right click on the tray icon it doesn’t give me that option. I searched through Avast looking for the option but can’t find it. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

But WHY are you trying to disable avast?
Whilst it is easy to temporarily disable the shields as Tech outlines.
The need to do so is/should be very much the exception rather than the rule, so I to o would be interested to know why it needs to be disabled.
I had to run ComboFix without any anti-virus blocking it. I’ve already turned everything in Avast back on. Thanks again.
OK, that is one exception to the general rule.
