Hi I tried install Avast IS on Win7 after restart computer avast couldnt turn on firewall. Clicking cliking on turn on button avast unresponsive. Fix NOW button too. After restart computer certainly. Please fix it soon.

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
if not, try and tell us if it worked…
its not a bug?
It certainly isn’t a problem appearing on all systems, so we need to figure out what’s causing it on your machine. Do you see avast! Firewall service in the list of services?
I already uninstall internet security :-X if anybody has a similar problem please post a topic
Hi Pondus I tried repair via avast support wizard and didnt help. Could not calm me what is this error so I tried further tested. After restart computer firewall stayed turned off. I think its a bug critical bug. Machine has Win7 64bit 4core CPU configuration and 4gb of ram. Please help me. This problem I detected on 3 other computers. I tried tested via avast scanner before which could affect the problem but virus not found. I think something is wrong in the core structure of avast internet security.
We need more information. There are almost an unlimited number of hardware/software combinations, and it’s almost inevitable that there is a conflict causing this. I wouldn’t think it’s a hardware error, if you have been running all your other software without problems up until now.

I think its only avast bug. Other AV programs running well of course no together.

I had same problem, firewall not start, when Pressed Start button of firewall
Previously installed version is the free version. After the update IS version has a problem
Resolution is as follows:
- system restart
- Start Windows in Safe Mode.
- Use the Avast remove utility(aswClear.exe) to remove programs(Avast 5 free/Pro/IS)
- windows restart
- If you have to install a Avast program(Avast 5 free/Pro/IS)
- restart
- enjoy

But I am asking myself why does the installation has so much problems!
By the upgrade from the free licence to internet security the problem is going to be still present,untill the company doesnt solve the problem.I havent tried to start direct instalation of avast internet security,only by upgrade of the free licence.Could you send me the answer if is possible to solve the problem? Do you know about this problem? Can developer answer my question?
