I have instaled a software that has instaled Avast Free Antivirus without asking. Tried to uninstall it but it gets stucked pretty soon with "Launching executable file: wsc_proxy.exe/svc/unregister/firewall
Can’t execute it either. And I already tried that avastclear aplication in safe mode. I get the very same screen and gets stucked in the same process.
I just want to get rid of this. So if you guys could please help me…

As far as I know, avast doesn’t come bundled with anything.
As for removal, if neither through control panel or avastclear is working (very unlikely), remove it manually.
Gave this a chance and initially impressed by the new UI.
Ran a smart scan and it was trying to remove software plugins I use. Anyway to cut a long story short I was uninstalling software and the process was stalling so I removed the AV and the uninstall completed. I decided to uninstall Avast! and since then my SSD performance is crawling and WiFi speeds are erratic.
Tried the Avastclear.exe and it refused to launch, rebooted and redownloaded. I tested the exe (Clicking no at allow to make changes) then restarted in safe and the exe couldn’t run the stub installer (or some such).
I am now less than impressed, it looks like I need to reinstall because of this product. It reminds me of AVG, like dog excrement on a blanket.
