I getting really nervous about this program. I was installing Teamspeaker 3 and it asked if I wanted to install the Avast Free Security, even with me refusing to install, it installed, and now I can’t uninstall or even open the program, it simply doesn’t work! I already have another paid antivirus (kaspersky) and it’s interfering in the windows protection, so its pissing me off. I tried to uninstall with the windows uninstaller, but it keeps saying that the windows can’t access the specified archive probably because I don’t have the permissions to do it, even though I am the only administrator of this PC, and I tried via the Avast Clear, but the uninstaller doesn’t open too, it just loads endlessly. WHAT AM I GONNA DO?
I don’t know if your other AV is preventing this or may have impeded the install corrupting it or not.
You should read this http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility and download the avast uninstall utility. Follow the instructions on the above page. The normal location for an avast installation is C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast.
