Back to this server in my dmz again…
I removed it from our domain (it is in the dmz afterall…) so now it is in a workgroup.
If you can recall from a previous post I had installed it with the internet mail provider. Being an smtp server this wreaked havoc and mail was no longer going through this box. When I rebooted it after taking it off the domain and into a workgroup avast no longer saw it in ADNM and so the internet mail service started (I had that provider removed from the group this server was in). What I want to do is uninstall this avast and reinstall one without that provider even there so the internet mail service can NEVER start on it thus preventing mail from going through. However I go to uninstall it and it asks for a password. Well I never explicitly set one but in the properies of the group there is an enable control password box with something filled in there. I overwrote it with my own but it still doesn’t like that for the uninstall…
any help?
Try admin.
If it doesn’t communicate with the management server, it cannot apply its current settings…
worked… thanks.
