cant uninstall/re install

i downloaded advance system care to clean up unwanted files and stuff and when i did well… it obvisoly deleted some files from avast… i cant un install it or re install it because i get errors when i try to run it i get the AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error the operation could not be completed and when i install it and go to run it to finish the install i get a setiface error has occurred:536870929 try to reinstall (which i cant) or contact support.
can any1 please help me with this issue? thanks!

thanks alot man. i downloaded that thing and it wouldnt work so i did it in safe mode successfully. its removed and my computer is much faster now. i have deleted that program that started all this and will not ever download it again. it was bad. it messed my computer all up after i removed it my firewalls were off and windows defender wasnt working at all. i downloaded AVG and am sticking with that now. i advise anyone and everyone not to get avast. AVG is better in my opinion.

So you are effectively blaming avast for the problems with another program.

Good luck with AVG and I hope you get anywhere near the prompt and helpful response in the AVG forums (notoriously bad), a huge reason there are more coming from AVG to avast! rather than the other direction. Each to their own.

If by ‘advanced system care’ you’re talking about the one by IObit then I would look there first. Some people may like them, but based on my own experience with their software it’s junk. :slight_smile:
