Hi!

Need your help. Everytime I start my computer, Avast warns and says I need to update.
When I do the updater stops on step 1 (out of 3) and then after 2 minutes gives me this report:

Result: Values can not be reached. Allready updated.

But I have this version: Release date 2015-05-27 (version 2015.10.2.2218)
which is not the latest one.
What should I do?

Thank you.

/Mike

Repair Avast:

  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

You’re welcome.

I have the same problem, Avast not in control panel/programs so can’t repair

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

@ conar686

You can choose “Change” and then the option “Repair” shows up.

This did however not solve the problem for me.
Avast (free) still won’t update…

Windows 7 / 64 bit. (don’t know which SP, will check it out)
Comodo Firewall.
Avast free user since many years without issues.

  1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Thanks again Asyn, very nice of you.

Should I uninstall the old version first?

Just follow the steps in Reply #9.

Cheers.
