about 10 minutes ago, i checked Avast! update history and found virus definitions version : 24.6.2010 - 100624-1
My avast has version 100624-0. When i did manual update, it says, my virus definitions are already uptodate. i reboot my PC and the same thing happens.
i dont have any firewall, just default from windows, and avast is the only my AV (i have MBAM too)
What does the avast Maintenance screen say, mine still shows 100624-0, see image, but a manual update did download 100624-1, image2.
Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.
strange…after did a couple of reboot and couple of manual update, (maybe about 5 or 6 reboot) and i also changed the settings : i ticked “my computer is permanently connect to internet”, the VPS updated itself.
edit : i did David instruction to repair the avast too (but after the VPS updated itself) Just to make sure anything is ok.
umm…yeah. sorry, i’m just a casual user, not the advance one. Sometimes little problem like this makes me worried, and get confuse. (seriously…it is)
i think the update takes time for user to get it. (yeah, about 30 minutes later after i rebooted the PC several times, the automatic update run, and i got the newest version without problem.)
