Can't update

Hi , I have a big problem with avast , I can’t update.

When I try to update He says me that he can’t connect and i have this message.

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Setup\servers.def, error: 0x00000005 05.11.2006 09:52:13 package: Tried to download servers.def but failed with error 0x00000005.
This means that you can't access (error 5) a necessary file to avast to update.

You can download servers.def from here: http://download1.avast.com/iavs4x/servers.def
Save it to C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\setup folder
Start the update again.

But, maybe it will be better to check if all other parts of avast are working… rights to access means, generally, wrong installation problems ::slight_smile:

I already try with this file and it doesnt work , so I’ll try to reinstall avast.
