CaznovaIRCSpy v2.5 Server

I regularly use Avast 4 Home and a Firewall to protect my system but because of troubles I had with connecting to a particular site ( my download hung and the computer completely locked up) I used another scanning medium- ATS2. This found my computer infected as per title. It would seem then that Avast failed :(Twith this one. Is it a new virus, trojan whatever. Any observations will be appreciated. Thanks

What is ATS2?
What did it found? (name of the infection and its location)
What firewall do you use?
What OS?

Your questions.

What is ATs? Here is description.

Anti-Trojan Shield - High Performance Trojan Detectororganizer
Anti-Trojan Shield (ATS) is an advanced, highly effective blocker
of Trojans, worms, viruses, backdoors, malicious ActiveX controls,
and Java applets. It efficiently scans, detects, and removes malicious files,
while maintaining an exceptional level of personal privacy and security.
Without this tool, you definitely should worry about new Trojan horses and viruses,
but with Anti-Trojan Shield you have no need for concern. Its integrated update
utility always keeps the software on the cutting edge, fully armed for battle.

Sorry if info is irrelevant or inadequate; that is the best I can do

You are ‘ovreprotecting’ your system and that may cause problems.
Avast and ZoneAlarm will do the job, there is no need to also have ATS.
It could be that having all 3 of them running is causing the problem.
Can you try again websites without having ATS installed to see what happens?

Eddy I take your point. I actually agree with you. Although I have several utilities on my computer, I do not keep them all installed but install and uninstall so that there is less risk of conflicts and problems. ATs was ewcommended to me as being particularly strong as it was thought that prblems with IE6 might be caused by a virus not found by other programs.

Are you daying that what has been listed as a virus/ trojan/ backdoor by ATS is a false positive?

No, I was refering to the problems with that website.
