I can not shutdown Window XP normal, because there is a Avast report: CD in station.
But there is not a CD in station…
What have I do do?
open your avast main program…go to menu…settings…common…see if the option to check CD in drive before logging off is untick
It works, the problem is disappeared!

Han, shgoh’s suggestion did the job but, do you have a CD simulator or any other related application? Do you have other removable media that could make that error? Just a curiosity to improve avast! 8)
