My cdrom and dvdrom dont work. They dont recognize cds or dvds. Maybe the autorun dont work. But they appears in my computer. I check the device manager and all are ok. Anyone knows what is happening. I have winxp service 2
I think you have posted this in the wrong forum.
This one is for Avast Home/Pro version 4.
And your problem seems to have nothing to do with Avast.
Please ask a moderator to move this thread.

Before we can help you, you need to give more details.
What EXACTLY is not working?
Can you access cd/dvd through explorer (or another file manager)?
Do you get errors?
Have you checked the cables?
etc etc
Thanx that tool save me. For some reason the auto run was disabled for both drives. it appears that in Winxp you can’t enable it manually?
As far I know, only tweaking programs do it…
You sure can do it manually in XP.
In fact it is really easy to do.
- Open 'my computer"
- Right click the cd (or dvd) drive
- Properties
4( Click on the ‘auto-run’ tab - Make the settings you like there
In fact, for me, this is theory… Once disabled, the feature is not stable anymore unless you un-tweak it… :
