Hello. Last week I inherited a virus which I could not clear ( neither did Avast), had to get the PC to the service guy who cleaned it. Screen kept on popping up for paysite to clean PC, $ 49.00 - $79.00., which they infected to begin with. This is Fraud. Well anyway, after cleaning unit, Avast is unable to clean a list of files, how can I fix this?

Hello MNB. All these files are offline, I am not very computer efficient so please be easy on me. Do not know how to get a screen shot, and can’t copy these files, there are about 30 of these.

no, no network, yes I do use Real Player which I had to reinstall after repair.
Here is what happened: last week I collected a virus which Avast could not cure as explained at the beginning. PC repair Guy fixed PC to where it would run and I could use Mozilla Firefox and Gmail. I run Wind. XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 SP3 in a Dell Dimension 4550.

I guess a few files might be of the real player. And such offline files cannot be scanned. Please post a screenshot of the scan log. For that, click on avast tray icon(orange ball) > scan computer > scan logs > double click on the results log and maximize the log window.
Firstly, with the window open that has the Screenshot, tap the Print Screen/SysRq Key (next to F12 on the keyboard).Close out of that screen…Go Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint.
This will open a new window…from the Top Left, click on Edit > Paste. (This will put your screenshot in the Paint window.)
Next, Go File > Save As (giving it a ‘name’ rather than “untitled”) > from the drop-down box under the name > select .JPEG > Save In: > Desktop > Save > exit out of the ‘Paint’ window > navigate to your Desktop; the .jpg image file will be visible.

i don’t have this java script and dynamic link library in my C:/documents and setting
will maybe you try to restore what you collected maybe its a service host of the program that initiate at the start up[/s]
edit: will im just guessing, i did not see the path file that keep popping up. and what kind of list you are trying to clean

point the cursor on the line between file name and severity then press left click the mouse and move it.
