quite often on the forum, users have difficulty finding their subscription linked to their email address on account.avast.com, either because they have never created an account and the email address has become inactive, or because they have entered the wrong address at the time of purchase or when starting a trial (or indicated a false one ;)).
Looking at my own profile (https://profile.avast.com/), I see that it is possible to change my main address.
Also I was wondering if it would not be possible for the above mentioned people to:
- either create an account with the wrong address used for the purchase and then possibly switch to the new one, in which case an account can be created (request for confirmation by e-mail)?
- or create an account with the current address (the confirmation can be done) Of course there will be no subscription linked but then changing the main address by the wrong one will not make the subscription appear?
In fact I was thinking of this procedure to avoid (it happens quite often) users having to contact avast (usually without even having received an order number:wrong address) with a rather laborious (in my opinion) process for avast to make the link ???
