Current Avast scanning screen only shows % which remains at 0% for more than 2hrs and appear stuck which is very inconvenient for most of us.
SO i am starting this poll to know DO YOU GUYS WANT AVAST TO ADD ETA AND SHOW THE FILE WHICH IS BEING SCANNED?
The percentage “stuck” at 0% is a known bug and will be solved.
The percentage and/or a ETA is just showing that the scanning is in progress.
As they are just rough estimates, they are kinda useless.
I remember when installing Windows XP you could see on the left of the screen what it was doing en how long the installation still needed to finish.
Can’t remember the exact times, but when it offered to create a bootfloppy it was still 20 minutes, if you skipped that part or created the floppy (which took only about 1 or 2 minutes), the remaining time dropped to 8 minutes.
I would say, just run the scan and let it finish, no matter how long it takes.
You did initiate the scan for a reason, so let it do its job.
