changed SOA password, but the client password was not changed

I changed the admin user password in SOA console. But when I try to open avast Endpoint Protection Suite in the client PC, it asks for password and the new password does not work. How do I change the password in the client PC too?

If I change the password in Avast! on the client PC, it works for a few minutes, but after some time the password reverts back.

All settings of Managed Avast have to be done on the Management Console, not on the actual client.

Changing the Console user account password, will not change the client password, as you have noticed.

To change any setting on the client (incl. password) you have to follow the instructions below depending on the Management Console that you have:

I. Avast Small Office Administration:

  1. Open ASOA.
  2. Navigate to NETWORK > Group view > Edit group settings (for each computer group).

II. Avast Enterprise Administration:

  1. Open AEA.
  2. Right-click on the Computer catalog folder and select Properties.
