Changes to device section

https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/new

This is disappointing. I found the function to check the status of other devices very useful.

for paid subscriptions we plan to have a simple overview for you to see on which devices the subscription is being used

Free avast users : They are banned from getting there devices overview in there account. ( X )
Paid Users : They get there devices overview in there account ( V )

So the devices for windows and mac are supported for paid users only !

I will find a resolution and maybe ill go to avira

Any information Martin on a time line> when this might occur/ :slight_smile:

I though that this decision was a poor one, seeing how people in the forums reported using it.

Now we free version users have little to complain about, but paid version users must be mighty pissed. If the decision is to revise and simplify the devices subscriptions, fine.

Surely this revision/simplification should have been done before switching the lights out.

I was directed to this thread after discovering Windows devices now missing from my Avast Account page.
I thought something was wrong, as had seen no announcement of this change.
Good to have some explaination and accept the reasoning, but prefer to see all my Avast protected devices listed IMO.

Bump

Be patient, it’s weekend. :wink:

Yes of course :slight_smile:

Very disappointing as a Free Avast user. I like that my PC’s were on my online account. Now that the feature is no longer available for Windows and Mac users. It’s kind of a let down. However my Android Smartphone is still on my account. Which is okay I guess. I do like the anti-theft feature of Avast’s Google Play Store App and the WiFi Detector/Clean Up.

Please bring this feature back Avast.

Something really wierd going on in Avast account today.
On logging in I was greeted with subcriptions page with no subscriptions (not even android ones). Also no menu option for Forum, only Subscriptions, Devices. No display of links to Avast Blog items*.
Logged in again and same result. Then clicked on Menu>Devices and android device then appeared, also menu then showed normal options including link to Forum, hence I’m here.
Er…what is going on Avast?

Edit: *This now happens every time I log in. Avast account is redirecting to this Subscriptions page. I have to use Menu and select Devices, before other Menu items are made available. See screenshot.
PS: I have done a reboot.

I have the same,dont worry about it,if u are a free avast user they can do what the want its simple. 8)

@bob
It is exactly the same on different browsers (including Avast browser), different PC’s and different OS.
What do you see if click in the menu grid?

Hi, it’s unfortunately matter of months, not weeks. We aim at Q3

@bob.
Your sceenshot seems to be of Devices page. I too have Forum and other options from that page. But when I login to my account I get the Subscriptions page without those options. I then have to select devices to get options including access to Forum. This is a real Avast mess up and is annoying me as was perfectly OK before. Inverse to “if it aint broke dont fix it”.

Since I use the free version of Avast I already know there isn’t anything on this site for me. I only open it for a forum question.
