I actually wanted to change my email address at what seems to be a logical place, Profile>Modify Profile>Account Settings. At the time, I did not know about MyAvast, I’ve been away.
So, in my faffing around, looking for the magic box, just to see what would happen, I clicked “Change Profile”. I had noticed the statement “These are your account settings. This page holds all critical information that identifies you on this forum. For security reasons, you will need to enter your (current) password to make changes to this information.” But for some reason, I was not asked for my password. So I unticked “Show others my online status” and clicked “Change Profile” again… And it changed. Without requiring my password.
Briefly, after a through search around my profile, using K-M, Opera and IE11, I discovered MyAvast only when I checked out Profile>Set Password.
I’m all in favour of “Continuous Improvement”. It’s very necessary in a perilous world. But at the moment, I fail to see the “Improvement”. I do understand the “Work in Progress” concept. I earn my daily bread in that area and have done for the last 10 years. So I’ll give youse a tip: Some signage is a “Very Good Idea”. Tell people what’s going on. Trust me, it “Really Helps”.
That’s my rant. Now, if you don’t mind, I’ll take that unsigned detour and change my email address.
Gordon.
