Changing default download directory

So far I am very pleased with this product and my TotalAV virus program.

One item that is bugging me big time tho is that I cannot see how to change the default downloads folder. I only have a small (SSD) C drive and keep all my downloads and other files on other drives.

Both Firefox and MSIE allowed me to change the default downloads folder to another disk but I cannot find how to do this in Avast. It is probably right under my nose but using the FAQ and searching with my search engine has not found it for me :-[

Click 3 dots upper right hand corner>Scroll down to Settings>Window opens scroll down to >Click Advanced and scroll down to Downloads.

You will find two options:

  • You can change user folder location
  • Turn on the option to ASK where to put your download every time.

Option two is probably the best as it leaves settings as closer to default settings, especially for an advanced setting.
