Changing home port for now

I started with McAfee many, many years ago. Watched it go to bloatware. Then went to Norton, watched it go to bloatware (Norton has detected an exploit…would you like to allow of block? Except, it was just letting you know it had already passed into the computer and you’ve been had), then AVG, who ended up wiping all my files, and then part of the OS and shut me down…most likely because they didn’t know about AMD processors…then two versions of MS until they decided to throw a nagware window up because you have MS Last Known Good OS…now Avast, who throws in stuff we don’t want or ask for, no choice until something doesn’t work and you come in from the back and kill off half the program…and then boot issues…and yes, we ran MalWareBytes, and no problems found…but on a hunch, I yanked out Avast, and loaded ESET, and guess what?
Works just fine.

So, for now, changing home ports, leaving Avast behind. Maybe, someday, might use it again, but you had best fix this software and attitude…and maybe smack some attitude change into some of you moderators.

Gone.

Poof.

no choice?
You always have a choice on what to install.
Simple use a custom installation.

and then boot issues
The boot problems I've seen are - with Windows 10 and that is because of bugs in Windows 10. - when a user didn't removed a installed av before installing avast.
and yes, we ran MalWareBytes
Unlike av's, Mbam only checks executables nothing else.
