Check sum error archive is corruped

Wind ME Downloaded adobe acrobat, tried to install it and received the above error, need help, Novice, please try to make it simple. Thanks

Well your file is corrupted.(bad download)
You should download acrobat reader again or download from a different server.

If you use a download manager (for instance, FlashGet) you can choose ‘repair’ corrupted files… But, generally, Check sum errors need another download like Hawk posted

Thanks, downloaded from Cnet the first time, last nite downloaded from zdnet, same thing happened. well, will try another site

Could it be a problem with your connection or your ISP?

BOB,did it again, downloaded from developer site, again it would not install, I have downloaded other software and it installed without incident, any more suggestions, Thanks, Mike

Mike
Do you use a download Manager?
Who is your ISP ?
You can get a download Manager HERE. They offer both a free or Pro version.

Why not download from Adobe? Adobe Reader

And before downloading. Close the browser. Remove ALL temporary files, cookies, temporary internet files, cache files, and remove everything from downloaded internet files.

Especially when there is a corrupt download in the last one you often see this behaviour.

Bob : you were right! It did the trick, and thanks for the link. Finner, by the way How do you post a link . again, Thanks ;D

hehe looks like I was right. The dl manager has its own temp folder. So when downloading with the manager nothing looks in the default windows folders and so not seeing the corrupted download.
